Out of Hour Emergencies
A vet and nurse are always on call to attend emergencies. Telephone the usual number and your call will be directed to the duty vet.

Overnight Inpatient Care
If your pet should require hospitalisation due to illness or injury, he/she will receive round the clock care: Martin & Kerry live above the surgery and carry out regular overnight checks for all inpatients.

Consultations
We try to run an efficient appointments system, while emergencies are of course fitted in when necessary. Please telephone before coming to the surgery to arrange an appointment with the vet or nurse.

In-house Laboratory
A range of tests can be performed on site with speedy results:- blood biochemistry (to check liver and kidney function) and haematology (to check for infection, anaemia and other disease states), urinalysis and microscopy (of blood, urine, fine needle aspirates and skin scrapings) to name a few.

X-ray and Ultrasound
X-rays are a useful tool for the diagnosis of skeletal (bone) abnormalities and certain medical conditions. Ultrasonography allows us to examine a range of internal organs such as heart, liver, kidneys, stomach and bladder.

Dentistry
Pets need to have their teeth looked after too. Routine scale & polishes are carried out as well as emergency dental treatment.

ECG (electrocardiography) and Blood Pressure Monitoring
An ECG trace gives us a visual picture of cardiac function and allows for the identification of abnormalities.
High blood pressure in cats can be an indicator of kidney disease or thyroid problems.

Nurse Clinics
Our team of nurses carry out a range of free consultations: puppy & kitten clinics, dental clinics, weight clinics and geriatric clinics. They are also available to give advice on diets, training, flea and worm control etc.

Separate Ward Areas
In all the surgery has three separate kennel areas; one for dogs and cats, one to house prey species (rabbits, guinea pigs, birds etc) in a stress free environment, and an isolation unit to house animals harboring infectious diseases.

Dedicated Operating Theatre
With separate preparation area allowing for strict asepsis.
